So this is a phrase that's been doing
the rounds a little bit since the
pandemic started, because there's
also been a wave of kind acts that
have been spreading around the world.
So, did you also know that the
positive effects of an act of kindness
are experienced in the brains of
everyone who witnesses the act?
So research shows that it improves
their mood and makes them significantly
more likely to pay it forward.
In other words, to do
kind acts themselves.
What this means is that one good deed can
indeed create a ripple effect and improve
the day or even the lives of dozens,
hundreds, or even thousands of faithful.
Witnessing kindness, inspires kindness.
So my invitation, knowing that we all
hold that kind of power to influence
others, let's all spread a little
kindness today and then know that
that will ripple out into the world.
It could be a really small act, you
know, a kind word, a genuine compliment,
a listening ear, or a loving touch.
Because even when times are tough, we
can all find ways big and small to be
a force for good in the world and a
support and comfort for each other.
That's mindfulness in action.
That's sharing our best
selves with the world.
