Day 3 of 4

Mindful Goal-Setting

On Day 3 of our Mindful Goal-Setting Workshop, we’re going to walk you through a process to mindfully visualize what you’d like to experience in 2023.

Set a timer for 15-20 minutes. Take a few deep breaths. When you’re ready, reflect on or journal about these things:

  • Go back to the 4-5 possibilities you made note of yesterday.
  • Sit with each one. Do they still resonate? Check in with your body: if you feel a sense of lightness and excitement, that’s a good sign.
  • If any of them need to be adjusted until they feel just right, go ahead and do that. If one or more of them don’t resonate, it’s ok to let them go. You can revisit yesterday’s exercise if you like!
  • Now pick one of the possibilities. Take a moment and visualize realizing that possibility. Set the scene and really let your imagination go. Engage your senses: what do you see, smell, taste, touch, or hear? What are you doing? How do you feel?
  • Feel free to do this with any or all of the possibilities you identified, depending on time and desire.
  • Of the possibilities you chose, which one(s) stand out the most? Which feel the most empowering, inviting, or free to you?

When the timer goes off, take a few deep breaths. Just notice what you feel drawn to. Try on what it feels like to trust what you want.

Tomorrow we’re going to walk through what it looks like to take mindful action on the possibilities and goals that draw you the most.
