Let's take a moment to appreciate the things that have been happening in your life recently. Today's theme is recent challenges. As always, if you would like to journal along, you can pause after each prompt to give yourself more time to write and reflect. First, let's take a deep breath in. And out.
When reflecting on our lives, it's easy to see how the challenges we went through are the very things that have made us into the person we are today. However, while in the midst of these challenges, they're often harder to see and appreciate for what they are - periods of growth. What is a challenge that you are facing in your life, or have recently passed through? This could be in your personal life or something at work. How has this challenge helped you grow as a person? Did it make you more resilient? Did you learn something new about yourself? Imagine this was happening to a close friend of yours. What would you say to them to help them see this challenge as an opportunity rather than something to fear? Now with this in mind, repeat the following phrases.
Thank you for the challenges that make me who I am. Thank you for the strength and resilience I find within. Thank you for this ever-changing and interesting life. Thank you for being here with me through it all. To end this session, let's take a deep breath in.
