Let's take a moment to appreciate the things that have been happening in your life recently. Today's theme is acts of kindness. As always, if you would like to journal along, you can pause after each prompt to give yourself more time to write and reflect. First, let's take a deep breath in. And out.
Every day, there are many acts of kindness that go unrecognized amongst the busyness of daily life. By practicing intentional gratitude, we can turn these moments into sources of joy. What is an act of kindness somebody has done towards you recently? It could be a big loving gesture or something small, like letting you go in front of them in a line. Why was it such a nice thing to do? What made it special? What could you do next time to return the kindness to other people? Now with this in mind, repeat the following phrases. Thank you for the kindness I receive from others.
Thank you for the joy this kindness brings me. Thank you for my ability to be kind to others. Thank you for a kind world. To end this session, let's take a deep breath in. And out.
