the gift of mentors in our lives.
As always, if you would like
to journal along, you can pause
after each prompt to give yourself
more time to write and reflect.
First, let's take a deep breath in.
And out.
The world can be a confusing and
complicated place to navigate.
In our work, our relationships, and life
seasons it can be incredibly healing
and transformative to find a wise
and kind mentor to walk alongside us.
Think of a person in your life who showed
up at just the right time to guide you
through a time of change and growth.
Who were they?
How did you meet?
What was something they said or did
that helped clarify your thoughts
and show you the way forward?
What did it feel like to have someone
care for you the way they did?
If you could say something to
them now, what would you say?
Now with this in mind,
repeat the following phrases:
Thank you for the gift of
real mentors in our lives.
Thank you for the chance to connect
with their compassion and wisdom.
Thank you for the
confidence they had in me.
Thank you for the opportunity to share
kindness with others who might need me.
Now, close your eyes and take
a couple of minutes to sit
with a feeling of gratitude.
Pay close attention to how
this feels in your body.
As your mind wanders, gently bring
it back to what you are grateful
for today, and notice any feelings
of warmth that it brings to you.
When you're ready, open your eyes
and we'll see you back here tomorrow.
