Let's take a moment to appreciate
the things that have been
happening in your life recently.
Today's theme is appreciating the
moments we feel a true sense of purpose.
As always, if you would like
to journal along, you can pause
after each prompt to give yourself
more time to write and reflect.
First, let's take a deep breath in.
And out.
When we're going through life on
autopilot, it can be difficult
to connect with real meaning.
We do things out of habit or we react
from a place of unawareness and we
might not stop to consider the why of
our actions, thoughts, and choices.
In mindfulness, we begin to
notice the power of choice.
We start to sense where our gifts
and passions meet the world's needs.
Think of a time when you were
engaged in an activity and you
felt a true sense of purpose.
It could be a small or significant
moment from when you were
a child or just recently.
What were you doing?
Were you with others or alone?
What did you sense the purpose was?
How did it feel in your body
to be engaged in an activity
or work that felt meaningful?
Now with this in mind,
repeat the following phrases:
Thank you for the opportunity to
engage in meaningful work and hobbies.
Thank you for the beauty of being
able to connect with joy and passion.
Thank you for the sense of
contribution that purpose brings me.
Thank you for the ability to notice
where I can make a difference.
To end this session, let's
take a deep breath in.
And out.
