Let's take a moment to appreciate the things that have been happening in your life recently. Today's theme is appreciating quiet. As always, if you would like to journal along, you can pause after each prompt to give yourself more time to write and reflect. First, let's take a deep breath in. And out.
We live in a noisy world - phones, alerts, deadlines, headlines. Everywhere there seems to be a constant demand on our attention. When we notice and intentionally seek moments of real quiet, we give our minds and bodies a chance to breathe, relax, and let go. And the more we allow quiet, the more internal calm we can cultivate, even in the chaos around us. Think of a place, a time of day or a moment when you have experienced a true sense of quiet.
No beeping, no expectations, no chatter. Where were you? What was your environment like? Think of what was around you, what sounds, smells and sensations you noticed, what the light was like. How did you feel in your body? What thoughts came to the surface? Now with this in mind, repeat the following phrases: Thank you for the refuge of true quiet in a noisy world. Thank you for the sense of peace that quiet brings. Thank you for the beauty I notice and feel in these moments.
Thank you for the chance to be a calm anchor, no matter what's going on around me. To end this session, let's take a deep breath in. And out. We'll see you back here tomorrow for another gratitude practice.
