Hi, welcome back to your Daily Mindfulness. In today's session, I'm going to share a mantra with you that you can use for moving toward greater wholeness and integration. Now, when I say things like wholeness and integration, what I'm referring to is our capacity to invite and embrace all the different dimensions of who we are into our awareness and into our experience. For many people, it's not uncommon to feel a part of themselves and then suppress or repress that experience so that it's not in our awareness. Sometimes that can be useful if it's too painful to feel in the moment.
But the long term consequences of that are increased stress, anxiety, and disconnection from ourselves and other people. If we really wanted to move toward a deep quality of contentment. It involves embracing meeting and befriending the many dimensions of who we are. And this is where this mantra comes in. It goes like this, you're welcome here too.
And the way I use it is in relationship to those parts of myself that arise that I don't want to arise. So for instance, if I'm feeling sad about something. But another voice comes up in my mind saying you shouldn't be sad right now, or look how great your life is right now or why are you sad?, Or you're supposed to be a meditation person, you don't get sad, whatever it might be. I notice that and then I come back to this mantra, your'e welcome here too. And what I'm speaking to, at least in that moment, is the sadness itself.
I'm telling it that it's okay to be here. You're part of who I am. You're part of what it means for me to be human. And that's a saying that you can take to all the different parts of yourself, including the most painful parts. Those can be difficult to work with.
And those are often the most powerful to work with. When you invite them in, or at least make space for them in your awareness, rather than constantly pushing and fighting, there's an ease that comes in your whole nervous system because we're not exerting so much tension trying to fight parts of ourself. So try this out throughout the day. You're welcome here too. It's a powerful phrase to use on our journey to moving to a greater wholeness and integration.
Thank you for your practice. I'll talk to you in a meditation and take care.

Vidyamala’s tips on catching anger as it’s happening or about to happen are great - clear, practical, and doable.
- Vicoir
The little talks before the meditations are priceless. It's like I've found my peeps. The topics, the quotes, the goals—it all makes so much sense to me, things I want to be thinking and learning about. Most importantly, the meditations are kindness-centered, which I love. It feels like a new way to approach meditation.
- Lauren
Incredible, easy to navigate app. I would highly recommend this app to anyone who wishes to reduce stress and anxiety or simply as an aid to improve overall mental health.
- Kirtus
I love how the app gives me pointers to new things to explore.
- Lydia
So calm and soothing. I love the new bundle with Kelly Boys, she’s brilliant!
- EJ
Better than Headspace. I've had the paid version of both apps, and I must say I enjoy this one better.
