Hey, welcome back to your Daily Mindfulness. How often do we look toward the external world for comfort, new clothes, car, food, even our partner? Even when we're bored, the first thing we tend to do is reach for our phones often to try to fill space and just find some ease in the dis-ease. It's an interesting phenomenon, though. The more at ease you become with yourself, the less you need to manufacture the world around you for comfort. When you find that comfort in the stillness of just being, things and people no longer have the same grip on your identity, your freedom and your contentment.

So how do we do this? Well, part of you being here means you're already taking that journey. It's a big emphasis we have at Mindfulness.com cultivating this, this quality of inner peace, this quality of inner strength that can stand amid the chaos of your life. So much of what I'll say is just keep up the practice. You can trust that. But as you're going throughout your day and going throughout your moments, notice all the ways you try to fill in those gaps, those perceived voids, where it's like, I need something to change in order to feel better or worthy or more comfortable.

What would it be like to take a breath there. And just feel this moment of your life. Not needing to fill it in with something else, not needing to get something new, buy something new in order to make it better, but to just allow your mind to meet it and to start to find peace with it as it is. That training, over time, develops a new quality of, of happiness, contentment and ease within yourself that you can take with you into all moments of your life. If there's something in particular you're working with, some sort of discomfort you have within yourself, it can feel a little bit more comfortable.

The meditation practice will help with that, but make sure you're showing yourself some self-compassion and self-love. That will start to fill you up from the inside out as well. As always, thank you for your practice. I'll talk to you shortly in the meditation and take care.
