Hi.
Welcome back to your daily mindfulness.
In today's session, we're going to talk
about the happiness that comes from
experiencing your innate wholeness.
In other words, learning to recognize
that you don't need to be fixed.
When you were a baby, chances are you
weren't thinking, 'Oh, I'm such a fat
baby', or 'all the other babies are so
much smarter and better looking than me'.
No, you just were.
There was a certain kind of freedom
to be yourself, to be embodied.
You had permission to be human
without self- judgment or critique.
However, it wasn't long before we were
given our first job in the world, which
was to learn all the ways that we're
kind of imperfect or not good enough.
It happens slowly, but it happens.
We pick up a magazine.
Look at the person on the front cover and
then look in the mirror and think, 'How
can people who look like me, aren't on
the cover of magazines?' And then we might
think, 'okay, I'm not attractive enough'.
So we store that in our minds.
Perhaps one of our parents says,
you're so funny to our sibling,
but they don't say it to us.
And then we think, 'okay, I'm not funny'.
And we store that in our minds.
Or, maybe in school, the teacher tells
our classmate how good of a student
they are, but they don't say it to us.
And we think, 'okay, maybe I'm not smart'.
And we store that in our minds.
Although these kinds of interactions
are normal, and some of them are
helpful for us to figure out what
are our strengths in the world?
What are our weaknesses
and what we need to adjust?
The accumulation of all of these
ideas can have a negative impact.
And by the time we've hit 20, 30, 40,
or 50 years old, we have decades worth
of judgments about all the ways we
don't fit in or need to be improved in
order to be accepted, loved, and happy.
And so it's not uncommon to come to a
mindfulness practice like this with the
idea that it will somehow fix us, or it's
gonna make us better than we already are.
But the mindfulness I'm making here and
really all of us at Mindfulness.com,
is that, who you are at your core is
not broken, it's fundamentally whole.
And the happiness you might develop from
these practices doesn't come from becoming
some superior version of yourself.
But rather, learning to embrace
the fullness of who you are.
The many dimensions that make up you and
embracing those dimensions of yourself,
leading to a certain kind of integration.
If we spend our entire lives trying to
be something else or someone else, we'll
never be at peace, eventually, we, we need
to take that journey back to ourselves.
So in today's meditation, we're going
to do a practice that will help you
embrace these dimensions of yourself and
experience that happiness that comes from
connecting back to your innate wholeness.
Thank you for your practice.
And, I'll talk to you shortly.
Take care.

Vidyamala’s tips on catching anger as it’s happening or about to happen are great - clear, practical, and doable.
- Vicoir
The little talks before the meditations are priceless. It's like I've found my peeps. The topics, the quotes, the goals—it all makes so much sense to me, things I want to be thinking and learning about. Most importantly, the meditations are kindness-centered, which I love. It feels like a new way to approach meditation.
- Lauren
Incredible, easy to navigate app. I would highly recommend this app to anyone who wishes to reduce stress and anxiety or simply as an aid to improve overall mental health.
- Kirtus
I love how the app gives me pointers to new things to explore.

So calm and soothing. I love the new bundle with Kelly Boys, she’s brilliant!

Better than Headspace. I've had the paid version of both apps, and I must say I enjoy this one better.
