Welcome back to your Daily Mindfulness. So today we're going to explore one of the essential foundations of mindfulness practice, the attitude of gratitude. So gratitude involves a wholehearted embrace of the present moment. It sees fullness and wholeness, instead of lack and leans into and embraces what's already here and now, instead of looking for something more. And you know, this is a wonderful thing because we can have such a strong tendency to overlook what we already have in search of something more or something different.
We can also be so prone to complaining about our circumstances and ruminating about our problems and difficulties. So gratitude is an antidote to all of that. It's an antidote to negativity, constant striving and struggling. And it allows us to open up to our moments and our lives with a sense of lightness and ease, even reverence. You know, even when things are challenging, we can be grateful for our beating heart, our breathing lungs, the clouds in the sky and the miracle that we're alive at all.
So by slowing down and bringing gratitude into our meditation practice in our lives, we begin to cultivate an authentic love of life. So in today's meditation, we're going to be infusing our practice with gratitude. But also, you know, maybe just taking a moment to contemplate now, how could you bring this aspect of mindfulness, this gratitude into your day. Maybe on your way to work you could appreciate and enjoy the feeling of the sun on your skin, or maybe you could slow down and you know, really savour, really taste the food you're eating, or appreciate the feeling of being safe when so many other people around the world are not, or maybe just experiencing joy and wonder at the simple fact that today you are alive.

Vidyamala’s tips on catching anger as it’s happening or about to happen are great - clear, practical, and doable.
- Vicoir
The little talks before the meditations are priceless. It's like I've found my peeps. The topics, the quotes, the goals—it all makes so much sense to me, things I want to be thinking and learning about. Most importantly, the meditations are kindness-centered, which I love. It feels like a new way to approach meditation.
- Lauren
Incredible, easy to navigate app. I would highly recommend this app to anyone who wishes to reduce stress and anxiety or simply as an aid to improve overall mental health.
- Kirtus
I love how the app gives me pointers to new things to explore.

So calm and soothing. I love the new bundle with Kelly Boys, she’s brilliant!
- EJ
Better than Headspace. I've had the paid version of both apps, and I must say I enjoy this one better.
