Hey! Welcome back to your daily mindfulness. Day seven of this series of cultivating resilience through uncertain times. Bravo for making it this far. I truly mean it when I say I'm proud of you. I know, I don't know you in person, but the fact that you've made it to the seven days, makes me feel like I have a kinship with you.
Someone that, that starts something and sees it through, especially if there was maybe some skepticism upfront or some fear of what this was going to mean. You worked through that and you got here. And for that reason, I'm proud of you. We're going to finish this series by talking about what opportunity can come out of difficulty and uncertain times. Now, the specifics of that, I'm not sure of.
The opportunity that might come out of your experiences, only something that time will tell. But in my experience, going through on certain events, chaos, confusion, difficulty, is that usually on the other side, there, there is something positive. There's a new learning, there's growth, there's transformation. There's something within us that maybe has to die or be let go of, in order for a new part of us to emerge. Maybe you've already been experiencing some of that.
That can be a difficult transition. It quite literally means letting go of a part of us, a piece of us and a piece of our life to make space for something new to emerge. And I think, beginning to ask the question of — What might be here for me? What new opportunity might come out of this? What new learning could emerge that I wasn't aware of? — Is a powerful way to orient ourselves toward the next step in this journey. As you can imagine, this isn't really the way that we would want to start. You know, when we're going through something really painful, I can feel oppressive to start saying, look for the positive or look for the opportunity.
We just need some space to grieve. To feel, to allow ourselves to cry, to, to not know and to be okay with not knowing. And so that's why we devoted day one to that. And even day two had a lot of that. And Hey, if you are still in that space, please give yourself permission and not feel forced to look for the opportunity.
This will be here when the time is ready for you. But after a period of time, this stage is important and can be the thing that helps us, helps pull us forward toward the future, that, well, we're, we're leaning into, we're getting ready to step into. So if it feels like the right time, you can start working with that question for yourself and start exploring what opportunity might come out of this. Where might I be going? How might I be growing? And what could I learn from this experience? Again, I know I've been saying it a lot, but thank you for your practice. Thank you for showing up.
I say, thank you for your practice because, this is not just for you. The stuff that you do, you do, the inner work. The time you take for yourself to grow, to heal, to transform is both for you and your community, your family, your loved ones, our environment, our world. So, thank you for the work that you're doing. It's impacting people, everything much more than you might realize.
I'll talk to you more in the meditation. It's been a privilege to talk to you through these video series. Until we chat again. Be well and take care.

Vidyamala’s tips on catching anger as it’s happening or about to happen are great - clear, practical, and doable.
- Vicoir
The little talks before the meditations are priceless. It's like I've found my peeps. The topics, the quotes, the goals—it all makes so much sense to me, things I want to be thinking and learning about. Most importantly, the meditations are kindness-centered, which I love. It feels like a new way to approach meditation.
- Lauren
Incredible, easy to navigate app. I would highly recommend this app to anyone who wishes to reduce stress and anxiety or simply as an aid to improve overall mental health.
- Kirtus
I love how the app gives me pointers to new things to explore.
- Lydia
So calm and soothing. I love the new bundle with Kelly Boys, she’s brilliant!
- EJ
Better than Headspace. I've had the paid version of both apps, and I must say I enjoy this one better.
