Hi, welcome back to your Daily Mindfulness. In today's session, we're going to talk about parsing the ego mind from our soul's truth. When I say soul's truth what I'm referring to as an inner knowing that is different from your ego conditioning. You can think of it as an intuitive guidance, your heart's truth, or just the place within you that is separate from other people's ideas about who you should be and what you should be doing. We all have this within us, but it can be hard to connect with, especially if we've spent a lifetime deferring to external reference points in order to make decisions, or in order to understand who we are.

One key reason we miss our soul's truth is because it's so subtle. We tend to override it because the ego mind says it can't be that simple, can't be that soft. This is where meditation can be really useful. It slows us down, helps us drop beneath the noise of our mind, and it sensitizes us to that feeling of, oh, this feels aligned. Maybe you've noticed this in your meditation practice.

The more you can connect to that, the more you can use that as your inner compass, but remember it's subtle. So it takes training to learn to trust it. Keep listening. Keep meditating. You'll refine this intuitive guidance in time.
