Hi, welcome back to

your Daily Mindfulness.

Today we're going to

talk about inner peace.

The interesting thing about inner

peace is that it doesn't exist in

some future moment to be uncovered.

It's the by-product of a mind that

embraces all dimensions of who you are.

This is important to remember on the

journey of inner peace, because it's so

easy to get caught up in the subconscious

striving for a future moment when things

will arrange themselves in such a way

that we can be peaceful with them.

Even though we might know this is an

internal journey, much of the time when

we think about our inner growth, there

is this sense of, well, something in

the future will change and then I'll

have gotten there, wherever there is.

And it's true that your experience

of inner peace mighthappen in a

future moment, but it's not going

to come from trying to get there.

It's going to come from trying to get

more fully here, meeting yourself,

settling into yourself, making peace

with yourself with whatever's here,

sadness, frustration, self hate.

You can even do it while

you're listening right now.

Notice if there's a feeling of

trying to get somewhere else.

I like to use that phrase, your

welcome here too, to whatever

my internal experience is.

If it's agitation, boredom, discontent

or the absence of inner peace.

See if you can just be

with that for a moment.

And the more you do this, the more

you're relaxing into yourself and the

less you're striving for some future

moment where it will all come together.

Inner peace can only exist when we

embrace and welcome the full dimensions

of our life as it's unfolding.

So this is something we can

do moment by moment by moment.

We'll talk more about this in the

meditation, but thank you for your

practice and I'll talk to you soon.

Take care.
