Hi, welcome back to

your Daily Mindfulness.

In today's session, we're going to talk

about acceptance and why it happens at

the interface between awareness and truth.

So as you probably already

understand by now, acceptance isn't

apathy or inaction instead, it's

an honest conversation with life.

It's an honest conversation with life.

And this is why I believe

acceptance happens at the interface

between awareness and truth.

It's because you're, you're meeting

your life, honestly, where it is

right, relaxing into it, recognizing

this is the truth of what is here.

Not pretending it's something

different, not trying to sugarcoat

it, but just simply meeting it.

And that's what awareness does.

It's this part of us that just

knows what is happening in

our life as it's happening.

It doesn't try to decorate it.

It just meets it.

But through that honesty, the

boundaries of our mind, and you

can even say our heart, start

to expand, to hold what is here.

Allowing us to stay present to our

new reality without collapsing, even

though collapsing may be part of our

first honest meeting of the truth.

With more internal space and clear seeing,

we can stay grounded in ourselves and

be more grounded in the world without

having to tiptoe around something

that we haven't come to terms with

yet, or that we're trying to avoid.

Acceptance can be very difficult.

It often means facing and meeting

and coming to terms with the truth

that we don't want to embrace,

we don't want to recognize.

But once we do, awareness meets

it and a reorganization in our

system happens to move more

fluidly with the current reality.

And so even if you did nothing else than

just be aware of what's coming up for you

right now, the vulnerability of relaxing

into that truth, this is where acceptance

happens and you can trust that process.
