about having humility toward others.
As much as our tendency can be to
think we know a lot about other
people and how the world works,
all we actually know about what it
means to live, the human experience
is what we've experienced directly.
Even our greatest empathy can't truly
know what it's like to walk in the
shoes of another person, even if
we've known them for a long time.
Only they truly know what
it's like to be them.
So before casting judgment, imagine how
difficult it would be for another person
to know what it's like to be you and
maybe why you make the decisions you do.
Imagine fully explaining
that to another person.
It's complex.
And for that reason, I think it's
important that we stay humble and
curious, even when it's really hard to
understand why people do what they do.
So take this with you as you
navigate the political landscape,
complicated family dynamics, and
even just relationships with friends.
