Interconnection and Oneness

Personalized support for learning how to integrate mindfulness into your life. Delivered fresh everyday by our world renowned experts.

Hi, and welcome to your Daily Mindfulness. Today we're going to talk about our interconnectedness with life. You know, what we begin to see over time through mindfulness is that there really is no limit to the practice of cultivating awareness in meditation and in our lives. And over time, mindfulness opens up more and more our ability to see and sense directly how our own nature is already whole, and it's also part of larger and larger spheres of wholeness. Our practice becomes an ongoing and ever expanding realization of our interconnectedness and oneness with life.

And with awareness itself. Practicing in this way is not trying to get anywhere or get into any special state. Not at all. What we're actually doing is looking deeply into and being fully alive to what's always present. And we begin to see more and more clearly that we are whole just as we are and awareness is here all the time.

But our ability to feel that and know it directly often lies buried just below the calculations and melodramas that make up the noise of the mind. So meditation allows us not only to touch deeper places within ourselves, but it also allows us to touch life itself more fully, too and to understand that we are not separate from it. And in this way, we come to see that we belong right where we are. And that we're also part of something much larger than ourselves and that we're in twined with the pulse and the rhythm of life in every moment. And with each meditation, we come home to this knowing more and more, and we find a deeper and deeper sense of belonging, wholeness, and ease that we can carry with us wherever we go.

So in today's meditation, we'll be exploring this a little bit further, andI invite you to settle in for that now. And as always thank you for your practice and your presence here with us.
