Hi, welcome back to your Daily Mindfulness. In today's session, we're going to talk about letting go. And specifically, I want to share that it's okay to let go and not know what will come next. Often our biggest fear with letting go is not knowing what's on the other side. That's okay.
Sometimes we have a sense of what will be there, what we're moving toward, but other times we don't. And we just need to trust the internal wisdom that says something needs to shift, something needs to be released. You can let that be enough to guide you into the next mysterious unfolding of your life. It's true that the mind will tend to move away from fear. And so if it perceives that the letting go will have something uncomfortable on the other side, or even just the discomfort of the mystery of what could be there, it may continue to hold on.
But I think the more we get familiar and trust that internal instinct, that internal wisdom that says this isn't right. I can't continue to hold on in this way. I can't continue to stay here in this job, in this relationship, in this location, we start to feel more inspired by living in alignment with that. And that becomes enough. What unfolds again, is it's not really our business.
Our business is to align with what is true right now. And to be uncompromising in our commitment to that. That is our compass for how to live our life. So if you're in a place right now where there's some big decisions you need to make, and there's some fear of letting go because you don't know what's on the other side, I just offer you the perspective that, that that's okay. And the inner wisdom that's saying that this can't be the way it is right now can be enough.
And to trust that process. Thank you for your practice. Let's settle in for today's meditation.

Vidyamala’s tips on catching anger as it’s happening or about to happen are great - clear, practical, and doable.
- Vicoir
The little talks before the meditations are priceless. It's like I've found my peeps. The topics, the quotes, the goals—it all makes so much sense to me, things I want to be thinking and learning about. Most importantly, the meditations are kindness-centered, which I love. It feels like a new way to approach meditation.
- Lauren
Incredible, easy to navigate app. I would highly recommend this app to anyone who wishes to reduce stress and anxiety or simply as an aid to improve overall mental health.
- Kirtus
I love how the app gives me pointers to new things to explore.
- Lydia
So calm and soothing. I love the new bundle with Kelly Boys, she’s brilliant!
- EJ
Better than Headspace. I've had the paid version of both apps, and I must say I enjoy this one better.
