Hi, and welcome to your Daily Mindfulness. Today I'm going to talk about the idea of starting again wherever you are right now. So whether we're having a great time at the moment or whether we're struggling, the essence of spiritual life in my own experience is to always begin again again and again, from wherever we find ourselves right here and now. I personally find this endlessly encouraging and refreshing and redeeming, no matter what has happened in the past, no matter how difficult, confusing, or disappointing. This moment is fresh, vital, and new and so are we.
This moment right now is the point of power and possibility. This moment we can choose to open our hearts and minds to the world around us. This moment is a chance to choose to wake up, to choose courage, kindness, and wisdom. Each new moment is a chance to begin again, to be reborn, to choose who you want to be and how you want to show up. No matter what happened yesterday, you don't have to bring it all into today.
No matter what baggage you may have been dragging around, you don't have to carry it from here on in. Let's just start wherever we are right now and choose again and again, to embody wisdom, compassion and awareness as best we can. And then start again. So as always, thank you for your practice and your presence here. Just inviting you now to settle in for today's meditation.
