Hi, welcome back to

your Daily Mindfulness.

In today's session, we're going

to talk about taking time to heal.

So it's my belief that many

people who think they need help

in their healing journey often

just need more time and space.

As a mindfulness teacher, I work

with many people who have gone

through recent difficult events.

And there's often this feeling that

they need to get through the experience

to, to process, heal and move forward.

More often than not though, with the

exception of, of certain traumas, they

just need to give themselves space

to, to feel what they're feeling.

And to give it time.

This is not to say help isn't useful.

It's more of an acknowledgement that much

of that help, including a lot of what

we're doing here, isn't to do some sort

of special healing or strategy, but to

encourage a person to feel what they're

feeling and to trust that in time there

will be processing and integration.

This is really at the heart

of our meditation practice.

You're receiving guidance from us and that

is a form of help, but it's reconnecting

you to your own wisdom, your own capacity

to make space for your experience

and to understand your experience.

Of course, there are many scenarios

where therapeutic modalities are

incredibly important, but for many acute

events that involve grief, transition,

sadness, confusion, a, a massive

part of that is just giving yourself

permission to feel and time to process.

Our emotional immune system is

surprisingly resilient if we just give it

the space and the time to take care of us.

So I hope this gives you something

to think about in your journey and

anyone else who you might know is

going through something difficult.
