Hi, welcome back to
your Daily Mindfulness.
In today's session, we're going
to talk about doing your best.
So many of us get caught in extra
stress in our lives because we
feel like we're not doing enough.
We feel like we could be doing more.
And I think it's really important
to remember that doing our best,
whatever it is we're capable of
in this moment, is quite literally
the best we can ask of ourselves.
Now, you might get caught up
in a thought of, well, what
if my best isn't good enough.
And if that becomes your narrative,
then you may need to reorganize how
you perceive yourself in relationship
to the world and your goals.
So many of us create extra,
extra stress because our current
best is not our future best.
And we can use a higher standard, of
course, to inspire how we show up in
the present moment, but we can't be
or do more than our current capacity.
And that's a really
important thing to remember.
So what do we do?
Well, we do our best.
We let go.
And we trust that our current best is
the best that we can do in this moment.
And this is the integration of
both growth and fulfillment.
We offer ourselves fully to the
moment in as much capacity as we
can, and we trust the process.
We let go.
We release.
So today, as you orient yourself toward
your work, your relationships, anything
that's important to you, what would
it be like to really recognize that
the best you can bring to the table,
whatever that is for you right now, is
the very best you can ask of yourself.
