Hi, welcome back to your Daily Mindfulness. In today's session, we're going to talk about getting stuck. As I've talked about many times before, we all have different parts of us. Parts that get excited, that dream that are inspired and also parts that try to manage, control, and keep us safe. Sometimes, well, very often, these parts can be in conflict.
And often the part that you've perceived as protecting you may also be the part holding you back from a life that is more alive, free and fulfilling. It's a complicated bind. And at times, your perceived safety may feel more important than living a fully expressed life. That's okay. Seeing this bind clearly is the first step to being able to do anything about it, including allowing it to persist.
But bringing it into awareness is key rather than just letting it operate subconsciously in the background. By bringing more presence to this bind, we often amplify the tension of not living a more fully expressed life. And it's often only when the pain of not living our life fully is greater than the fear of not being in control that we actually make a change. So you can put a lot of your trust in just bringing more awareness to these internal mechanisms. Thank you for your practice.
Let's settle in for today's meditation.
