Hi, welcome back to your Daily Mindfulness. In today's session, we're going to talk about joy and resilience. There are many ways to develop resilience, including leaning into and learning to be with uncomfortable experiences. I see this almost as a psychological vaccination against the bigger stressors of life. But learning to be with difficult experiences is not the only path to cultivating resilience.

Taking time to play, to laugh and enjoy yourself is also key to your resilience. Positive emotion replenishes our energy, makes us more creative, and renews our optimism for the moments of life that are more trying. So if you're in a difficult period of your life, instead of simply trying to get through it, make sure you're also giving yourself permission to experience what is still good, even if it's small. Thank you for your practice and let's settle in for today's meditation.
