The Importance of Looking Back

Personalized support for learning how to integrate mindfulness into your life. Delivered fresh everyday by our world renowned experts. Choose meditation duration:

Hi, welcome back to your Daily Mindfulness. In today's session, we're going to talk about looking back before moving forward. In the personal development space, there is a big emphasis on looking forward, pushing forward and developing new qualities within ourselves that we want more of. But sometimes instead of pushing forward, you actually need to look back and pick up the parts of yourself that were abandoned in your quest to achieve something, to be accepted or to survive. Big thing I want to say about this.

This is not wasted time. It's ensuring that you are moving forward with all of you, instead of just some of you. So as you continue your growth journey, notice if there is a sense of leaving important parts of yourself behind and give yourself the permission to reconnect to those parts before simply pushing forward to the next thing. Thank you for your practice. Let's settle in for today's meditation.
