Hi, welcome back to
your Daily Mindfulness.
In today's session, we're going to talk
about the complicated nature of growth.
The growth and healing journey
has a lot of ups and downs.
And when we're first getting started,
especially if we're navigating a new
pattern that feels really intense and
deep, it can be quite disconcerting to see
how long it takes for us to make a change
or get oriented to a new way of being.
So to help with this, I'd like to offer
a metaphor or analogy you can use to
think about the process of growth.
I like to think of growth and
healing as putting together a
puzzle, a complicated puzzle.
In the beginning of a puzzle, it feels
confusing, disjointed and near impossible.
You'll look for edges, corners, color
themes, something to orient you.
As you continue though, you
start to see how things connect.
It starts to feel more hopeful.
You get a few pieces that are
together and you start making out
what the image is going to look.
Like by the end, it moves quickly.
It's energizing.
And what seemed impossible is
now very much within reach.
So, if you're struggling on your
journey right now, you may still
be in the beginning phase of
getting oriented, looking for
edges, trying to find color themes.
Stay with it.
Each new insight is a new
connection and it becomes easier
to build off of that as you go.
You just start needing to find
those early edges and the corners
to really get some momentum.
So I'm with you on the journey.
