Hi, and welcome to your Daily Mindfulness. Today, I'm going to talk about intention setting. So after taking some time to practice meditation each day, we're really in a perfect state to set an intention for the day. Our body's more grounded, our mind and heart and more receptive. So a really powerful way to close meditation practice before you move is just to take a moment or two to ponder a question.
Like, what matters most to me today? Or perhaps, how do I want to show up in the world today? And then just taking some time to tune into your answers. Perhaps what comes to mind are qualities like kindness, gratitude, playfulness, or patience. Maybe you know there's a hard conversation coming up that day, so perhaps it comes to mind that you'd like to be authentic, but also understanding. So you can set an intention to spend more quality time with a loved one, or look after your mind and body a bit better. It doesn't need to be an elaborate answer that you come up with.
Sometimes you can simply call to mind a word or a phrase that you say silently to yourself. But whatever comes to mind, truly having a sense of letting that intention settle into your being and take root. So by acknowledging what matters most to you each morning, or each day in this way, you cultivate a really incredible inner strength, clarity of purpose so you can meet each day with the best of who you are. I'm going to invite you to give this a try in today's meditation.
