Hi, welcome back to your Daily Mindfulness. In today's session, we're going to talk about the idea of working hard and hustling toward that which you're interested in. Now, sometimes within the space of mindfulness, we might think that working hard or hustling toward our goals, there some sort of conflict there. But hustling can be really important. It's how we get things done, how we change and grow.
But I think knowing why you're hustling is more important because many of us hustle and work hard out of habit, not out of alignment. And it's important to periodically ask yourself, what am I working toward? Why is it important? How will I know when I've attained it? What am I giving up along the way? And am I okay with that? When you work through these questions, it helps you reorient toward what you're working toward, why you're working toward it, all the things that you might have to give up along the way, and really making sure that feels in alignment for you. So as you head into the rest of your week and into today, take some time to reflect on what you're working toward and why. Working hard is great, but many times it's just driven by patterns of conditioning that are not aligned with who we currently are or who we're trying to become. And the questions I've shared here can help you gain more self-awareness about why you're doing what you're doing and whether or not it's what you want to continue doing.
So the key takeaway here is that working hard can be really important, but notice, is it out of habit or is it out of alignment. And what might you need to do or change to bring it back into alignment? Thank you for your practice. Let's settle in for today's meditation.
