Hi, and welcome to your Daily Mindfulness. Today I'm going to talk about being in touch with our true nature. So just like the sky is always there no matter what the weather is, our true nature is always with us. It's ever present no matter what's going on within or around us. It's not something that we have to create or achieve.

It's simply something that we need to remember is already there, already here and now. It's just that sometimes, you know, our mind can get really, really busy and that activity of the mind makes us kind of lose, touch, lose awareness with our true nature. So mindfulness practice reminds us again and again and again of what we already have and who we already are. This is such an easy thing to forget, right? You know, when we practice meditation, we may have the idea that we're trying to get into some really special state or that we're trying to fix ,change, or improve something about our lives or ourselves. Or, maybe we have an expectation that the meditation should feel like it did when you had another great meditation in the past.

So sometimes we can forget, in other words, that actually the thing that we're truly looking for is always already here. All we have to do actually is let go of the seeking, the striving or the expectations, and just rest in true nature. So in today's meditation, I invite you to remember that there's really nothing to achieve, there's nothing you need to make happen. Just give yourself permission to let all of that go and just let yourself be, just letting yourself have a moment to just touch into true nature and that loving awareness at the heart of who you are. As always, I genuinely thank you for your practice and your presence here in this community.
