Hi, welcome back to your Daily Mindfulness. Today we're going to talk about why you're always wrong and what you can do to be right. So it's true. You are always wrong, to someone. Everything you do is wrong, to someone.
Everything you believe is wrong, to someone. And everything you say is wrong, to someone. People's interpretations of who you are, are filtered through their own belief about what is right and what is wrong, what is good, what is bad, what's nice, what is mean. There's literally no expression of yourself you can put out into the world that will be accepted by everyone. This is just the fact.
And if your goal in life is to be right in the eyes of other people, one of two things will happen. You'll always think you're failing, or two, you'll always change what you stand for. In the long game of life, you can only be right by living in alignment with the kind of person you respect yourself to be, which is constantly evolving based on who we are in each moment. Since we're social creatures, trying to live harmoniously with each other and the world around us, it is important to hear and respect other's opinions and views and use those to inform our own. So here's my simple four step suggestion for living what we might call a harmonious truth.
One, share your view. Two, listen to feedback. Three, integrate. And four, repeat. Thank you for your practice.
I'll talk to you in the meditation and until then, take care.
