Hi, welcome back to your Daily Mindfulness. In today's session, we're going to talk about winging it through life. So I believe there's not a single person who isn't just winging it through life. None of us know what we're actually doing and how it fits into the grand scheme of the universe. Sure.
There are people who get in a groove, develop an expertise and find a rhythm with how to move through the world. And yes, we can identify certain truths that come with the human condition, such as, you know, all things are impermanent and use those truths to inform a more purposeful way of living. But does anyone have the ultimate answers? Do any of us actually know how the universe works? What the best use of our time and energy is on this planet? Why we're here? What we actually need to do? Maybe, but I haven't met that person yet. And it's certainly not me. In an existential sense, we're, we're all just winging it.
So if you don't have all of the answers, if you feel lost, if you're confused, please, please, please cut yourself some slack. If anything, your discomfort and confusion means you're closer to the inherent truth of being human than you were before. So I think we can all just let it humble us and like a pressure cooker, let these inherent tensions soften our existing psychological constructs for who we should be and what we should be doing. So that we can ultimately hold more nuance, more complexity, and find greater freedom through all of that complexity rather than inspite of it. So I'm right here with you on the path.
We're doing our best to figure it out. We're doing these practices that help us find a little bit more ease in life, lean into more discomfort, have more compassion. We can trust that process and we could stay humble to it all. Thanks so much for your practice. Let's settle in for today's meditation.
