Hi, and welcome to your Daily Mindfulness.

So today I'm going to invite you

to do a little visualization that

will help you bring forth wisdom

that you can use in your daily life.

So if you care to, you might like to

close the eyes for this visualization.

And imagine that you're 90 years

old and it's your birthday.

So there's a birthday celebration

that's being held in your honor.

And it doesn't matter

how you visualize this.

Some people visualize in images or you

might feel your way through this, or hear

sounds or abstract ideas, that's fine.

Just doing these however

you want to do it.

And so here you are at

this birthday celebration.

Everybody's here to honor you, your

friends and family and work colleagues.

And just imagine that a person that you

really care about gets up to do a short

speech about you, about the person that

you've been about the life that you've

lived, about what you've meant to them,

about what you've stood for in your life.

So just of hearing that speech now.

And imagining that this person says and

means whatever it is you'd most like to

hear them say and mean, and just noticing

how it feels when you hear these words.

And now you can either continue listening

to this first person, or you can imagine

that another person who you really

care about, imagine that person getting

up to make a short speech about you,

about the person that you are, the

life that you've lived, what you've

meant to them, what you've stood for.

Just noticing what

they're saying about you.

And imagine that they're saying

and meaning whatever it is that you

really most want them to say and mean.

And again, noticing how it feels in

your body as you hear these words.

And now just taking a moment just

to reflect on what you've heard them

say, and to consider what does this

tell you about your values, about what

really matters to you, about what you

care about really deep in your heart.

And as you open your eyes now, if

that feels okay for you, if you're

ready to, just perhaps making an

intention to let this wisdom from

your future self be carried forward

with you today as a remembrance of

what truly matters deep in your heart.
