"2 Feet 1 Breath" Technique

A great mindfulness practice to re-ground in any moment.

Here's a simple mindfulness practice called Two Feet, One Breath. Let's imagine that you're standing in line at the grocery store. You find yourself wandering off frustrated that things aren't going as fast as you'd like. And you'd really like to reground yourself back into the present. So bring your attention to your feet.

Lift your right heel off the ground, and then place it back down, saying right foot. Lift your left heel up and down, left foot. And then take one breath. Two feet, one breath. Let's try that out wherever you are right now.

Just practice lifting the right foot and feeling a place on the ground and then just say right foot. And then do it with the left side, left foot. One deep breath. You can use this while you're standing, while you're sitting. Great simple exercise to reground yourself.
