5 Breaths for Resilience

Learn how lengthening the exhalation with 5 breaths can help you reset from stress to resilience.

Welcome. In this micro-practice we'll take five breaths for resilience for a quick reset. Okay. So get comfortable. Feel free to close your eyes and find yourself both alert and relaxed.

We're going to inhale to the count of one and exhale to the count of two. Okay. So taking our first breath in to the count of one. And exhale to the count of two. Inhaling to the count of one,.Exhale to the count of two.

So continue breathing for three more breaths in this fashion. As we lengthen the exhalation, we are stimulating the parasympathetic wing of the nervous system, letting our bodies know we can relax. Take one more breath in. And exhaling to the count of two. We hope this helps you on your mindfulness journey.
