Here's a mindfulness technique called STOP. It's an acronym, S T O P. S stands for stop. T, take a breath. O observe what's going on in your mind right now.
Are you caught up in the future? The past? Judgments? Or just general worry? And P stands for proceed with presence. Stop, take a breath, observe what's going on in your mind, and proceed with presence. It's a great, simple practice you can do when you find yourself triggered, lost in thought, or just going through life on automatic pilot. The breath will reground you, observing what's happening in your mind will give you more clarity on what might be triggering you, and proceeding with presence will allow you to reground and move forward more intentionally.
