Mindfulness and Intention Setting

A breathing meditation plus an intention-setting contemplation to help you live with more purpose and clarity.

So just settling in here into a

meditation posture of your choice.

And when you're ready, allowing

your eyes to gently close.

And now just bringing all of

your attention to the breath.

That's it.

Just letting this moment be center

stage in your awareness and letting

everything else drop away into the wings.

So that all that's left is just

this moment and just this breath.

So no need to change

the breath in any way.

Just feeling the sensations of

the breath moving in the body.

So for many of us, it can be really

hard to pause from all the urges,

to think about how we want to fix

and change things around, what we

want to plan, what we want to solve.

And we really so rarely

just let ourselves be.

So just encouraging you to give

yourself full permission right now

to do that, to just rest in being

just rest in the present moment.

There's nothing else you needed to do.

Nowhere else you need to be.

So just breathing, resting.

Being fully alive to what's

here in this present moment.

And now just inviting you to

contemplate a few questions.

The first question is, what is it

that matters to you most in life?

Is it certain people?

Is it making a difference?

Or connecting to something

larger than yourself?

Just taking a moment to contemplate

what matters to you most.

The next question is, what

would you like to let go of?

Or maybe you're holding on to some

resentments, regrets or grudges

that really no longer serve you.

Some limiting beliefs, maybe.

What would you like to let go of?

And the final question is, what is

your highest intention for today?

How do you want to show up?

Who do you want to be?

What are the values that you choose to

express and leave today in the world?

Maybe love, courage, kindness.

What's your highest intention?

And as the practice now draws towards

the end, just taking a deep breath in.

As you breathe out, beginning

to wriggle the fingers and toes.

And when you're ready, opening the eyes.

Thank you for your practice.

And as you prepare to go about the rest of your day, perhaps making an intention

to take this awareness and this clarity of purpose with you into the rest of the day.
