In this meditation, we do a reflection to explore our moment-to-moment intuition on what we most want and need.
Let's start by settling
into a comfortable posture.
This could be sitting,
standing, or lying down.
If it's comfortable,
you can close your eyes.
And we'll take a deep breath together.
In through the nose.
And slowly out through the mouth.
Inviting the jaw to soften.
Letting the shoulders be at ease.
As well as the hands and the belly.
As your body settles in, your breath
can return back to its natural rhythm.
And in today's meditation, we're
going to focus on following the
momentary thread of inspiration.
And there are different
degrees of inspiration.
It's not always this light bulb
moment where we go tuck ourselves
away in a closet and write a book.
Sometimes it's just this feeling of, Oh,
this is what I'm interested in right now.
Or, this is what I'm inspired to explore.
So as you settle into this place of
stillness and being, see if there's
a subtle sense of inspiration around
how you'd like to practice right now.
Are you inspired to focus on the breath?
Would you rather be more broad
and just rest in awareness?
Maybe there's a curiosity about the
body and emotion or watching thoughts?
The only instruction is to attune
yourself to that place within you
that knows what it wants to do right
now, at least within the context of
meditation, and see if you can follow it.
There's a lot of freedom here
to explore and that's the point.
So I'll step out of your way,
give you some space in silence
and let you have some fun.
Talk to you soon.
So as we come to the end of
our meditation, let's take
one more deep breath together.
In through the nose.
And slowly out through the mouth.
You can start to reorient yourself
to the the space around you.
And when you're ready, allow
your eyes to open again.
Good job.
So as you go about the rest of your
day, the rest of your week, and
even the rest of your life, see if
you can attune yourself more to the
momentary thread of inspiration.
Sometimes we have a sense of what we
want to do for a long period of time.
But a lot of times, it's a matter
of feeling into what's here now
and what do I feel inspired to do?
That could be big picture, what do
I feel inspired to do with my life?
And it could be small, what do I feel
inspired to do within my meditation?
This is a powerful strategy for living
a more attuned and intuitive life.
So thank you for your practice.
I'll talk to you soon.
Until we speak again, take care.

Vidyamala’s tips on catching anger as it’s happening or about to happen are great - clear, practical, and doable.

The little talks before the meditations are priceless. It's like I've found my peeps. The topics, the quotes, the goals—it all makes so much sense to me, things I want to be thinking and learning about. Most importantly, the meditations are kindness-centered, which I love. It feels like a new way to approach meditation.

Better than Headspace. I've had the paid version of both apps, and I must say I enjoy this one better.
